After exploring this cinematic treasure, we continue to Ouarzazate, the ‘Hollywood of Africa’, before our path takes us through the beautiful Valley of the Roses and into the dramatic, rust-colored cliffs of the Dades Valley, where a comfortable and welcoming hotel awaits for the night.

After a delicious breakfast overlooking the Dades Valley, we will marvel at its unique “monkey fingers” rock formations before continuing our journey. Our destination is the awe-inspiring Gorges of Todra, where the river has carved a spectacular canyon through towering rock walls that reach up to 300 meters high. We will take time for a short, peaceful stroll at the base of these cliffs, feeling humbled by the sheer power of nature.

From here, the landscape begins to transform, hinting at the vast Sahara that lies ahead. We will pass through the fossil town of Erfoud before reaching the village of Merzouga, standing at the edge of the magnificent Dunes of Merzouga. Here, your true Sahara adventure begins. You will trade your vehicle for a camel, your steadfast guide for a trek into the sea of golden Erg Chebbi dunes.

As the sun sets, casting a warm glow over the sand, you will arrive at your luxury desert tent, ready for an unforgettable night of traditional food, Berber music, and a sky full of a million stars.

Today, we bid a fond farewell to the Sahara and begin our journey north towards the Imperial City of Fez. The drive itself is a remarkable experience, showcasing Morocco’s incredible diversity.

Our route will take us along the spectacular Ziz Valley, where you will enjoy panoramic views of one of the largest palm groves in the world, a lush river of green cutting through the arid landscape. We will then ascend into the Middle Atlas Mountains, a world away from the desert sands.

Here, we will make a special stop at the famous Cedar Forest near Azrou, where you can see and interact with the playful troops of Barbary macaques in their natural habitat. We will pass through the charming town of Ifrane, with its alpine-style architecture that has earned it the nickname “Morocco’s Switzerland,” before arriving in the ancient, spiritual city of Fez in the evening.

Prepare to be transported back in time. Today is dedicated to a full day of exploration in Fez, the profound cultural and spiritual heart of Morocco. Alongside a knowledgeable local guide, you will dive headfirst into the captivating labyrinth of Fez’s Medina (Fes el-Bali), a sprawling UNESCO World Heritage site that is one of the world’s largest living medieval cities.

We will conclude our day’s travel in Casablanca, Morocco’s bustling economic hub, where you can feel the vibrant pulse of modern Moroccan life.

This morning, we will visit Casablanca’s most iconic landmark and a true jewel of Moroccan craftsmanship: the magnificent Hassan II Mosque. Standing proudly on the edge of the Atlantic, it is one of the largest mosques in the world and an absolute architectural masterpiece.

We will take time to admire its stunning exterior and intricate details. Afterwards, we will begin our comfortable journey back to Marrakech. You will have the full day to explore Essaouira’s captivating UNESCO-listed medina, walk along its historic sea ramparts, and watch the fishermen return to the bustling port with their iconic blue boats.
