I still can’t believe how surreal the Sahara was. The moment we reached the edge of the dunes near Merzouga and got on the camels, it felt like stepping into another world. The ride into the desert as the sun began to dip was one of the most peaceful experiences of my life, just golden sands stretching forever, the gentle sway of the camel, and silence all around.

We chose this tour because we wanted to experience as much of Morocco as possible in a short time, and wow, did it deliver. From Marrakech to Fes, every day brought something completely different.
Driving through the High Atlas Mountains was breathtaking, with dramatic views and cute roadside villages. The Todra Gorge was stunning, we got to walk through it and take some amazing family photos. Then, the transition to the Sahara was like entering another planet. My kids absolutely loved the camel ride and the drumming around the fire that night.
What I appreciated was the balance, there was history and culture (like Ait Benhaddou and the Fes medina), nature and adventure (the mountains, gorges, and desert), and plenty of comfort too. The hotels were charming and authentic, and our guide was always making sure we were happy and learning something along the way.
