Mi hogar, mi primer patio de recreo, era el mar infinito del desierto del Sáhara Erg Chebbi.
Crecí con la arena entre los dedos de los pies y el viento del desierto como mi compañero constante. Antes de aprender a leer libros, aprendí a leer las dunas cambiantes, enseñado por mi padre, un verdadero hijo del Sáhara.
Mi infancia no se basaba en horarios y pantallas, sino en llevar a nuestros camellos a beber, cuyos espíritus gentiles me resultaban tan familiares como los de mi propia familia. Fueron mis primeros amigos. Aprendí su lenguaje de confianza y paciencia, y ellos me enseñaron el ritmo tranquilo y constante del desierto.

As I grew older, a curiosity for the world beyond the dunes sparked within me. I left my home to explore the rest of our beautiful country, working in tourism across its vibrant cities and majestic mountains. I met wonderful people from every corner of the globe and loved listening to their stories. But I also saw what many of them were experiencing.
I saw tours that felt rushed and disconnected. Travelers were shown the sights, but they missed the feeling. They took beautiful pictures, but they missed the heartfelt conversations and the quiet moments that truly take your breath away. I knew that the Morocco they were seeing wasn’t the full story. It wasn’t the Morocco I knew and loved.
And that’s when I knew what I had to do.
